Every summer, Cauterets organises its traditional music festival: Caoutares, la musica que garech! It’s a tribute to traditional Occitan and Pyrenean music through song, dance, exhibitions and conferences.
3 days dedicated to Pyrenean culture and song in the heart of the village of Cauterets, on the Esplanade des oeufs.
Concerts of traditional songs, parades and presentations of period costumes, lectures… a complete immersion in Pyrenean culture!
Free of charge, this festival is open to visitors and locals alike, who are keen to take a step back in time and rediscover the songs of our heritage.
