Located 7 km from the village of Cauterets, the Pont d’Espagne is an emblematic natural site in the Hautes-Pyrénées. At an altitude of 1,500 m, it is home to a renowned Nordic cross-country skiing area, set in an unspoilt environment of pine forests, streams and wide plateaux.
The Pont d’Espagne Nordic ski area offers up to 36km of marked and groomed trails for classic and skating cross-country skiing.
The trails cover several areas: the Plateau du Clot, the Plateau du Cayan and theEstalounquet area. The routes alternate between forests and open spaces, offering a variety of itineraries accessible to all levels.
The pistes are maintained daily and the itineraries are suited to both discovery and more sporting pursuits.
The site is also equipped with a snowshoe walking trail.



Biathlon at the Pont d’Espagne with Élan Nordique
In addition to cross-country skiing, the Pont d’Espagne Nordic ski area in Cauterets offers a biathlon activity, supervised by the Élan Nordique school.
This discipline combines the glide of cross-country skiing (in classic or skating style) with the precision of shooting, offering a sporting and fun approach that is accessible to all.
The beginners’ course is open to children aged 8 and over, and is suitable for both beginners and more experienced riders.
