Le Chemin des Pères – La Fruitière
A forest walk offering uninterrupted views of the village of Cauterets and the surrounding peaks. This trail, with no great technical difficulty, takes you to the Fruitière.

The Chemin des Cascades
One of the most beautiful walks you can do from spring to autumn to enjoy the varied scenery.
A dozen waterfalls line the path from La Raillère to the Pont d’Espagne.
Dogs are not allowed on this trail, which lies in the heart of the Pyrenees National Park.

Le Turon des Oules
A slightly more strenuous walk with winding switchbacks through the forest. At the end of the walk, a beautiful viewpoint awaits walkers.
This is a walk to do with a picnic, to enjoy the charm of the forest in autumn and the shade in summer.

The Bousquet hut
Take the path from the old Thermes de Pauze. This walk, which is accessible to all, takes you to this pretty hut. You can continue the walk to the Lisey plateau. This second section is steeper, but the view from the plateau is well worth the effort.

La Raillère – chemin Demontzey
One of the most accessible forest walks in Cauterets.
Take the Demontzey path from Chalet Bleu and enjoy the pleasant undergrowth as far as La Raillère.
At La Raillère, you’ll find plenty of places to eat and drink overlooking the Lutour waterfall.

La Ferme Basque and la ferme Igau
The two belvederes in Cauterets offer a breathtaking view of one of the village’s slopes.
There are uninterrupted views of the Viscos, the Col de Riou and the Lutour valley. This area is sunny from morning onwards, whatever the season.

Tour of the Vallon Thermal
The old spa-goers’ trail, following in the footsteps of the thermal springs.
A beautiful loop offering fine views over the Cauterets valley.
A popular route in summer, when you can enjoy the shade of the forest.

Laces of Pauze Vieux
Stroll under the shady trees to the origins of Cauterets, built around the first thermal springs. The Thermes de Pauze Vieux (Pauze Vieux thermal baths) boast an uninterrupted view over the village.
Ideal for a break under the trees, or to set off on the other hiking trails.

Reine Hortense
A place renowned for its belvedere and generous cuisine. The walk takes you along a well-maintained road through undergrowth and is not particularly difficult. The view over the whole village, the Péguère and the slopes of Mamelon Vert is a must.
